If the air compressor is out of water, the aftercooler will also lose its cooling function. In this way, the temperature of the air sent to the air separation equipment will increase greatly, destroying the normal working condition of the air separation equipment.
Cooling is an indispensable part of the operation of the screw air compressor. The air compressor should always pay attention to the cooling water situation. Once the water is cut off, it must be stopped and checked immediately.
The parts of the screw air compressor that need to be cooled by water include the cylinder, intercooler, air compressor aftercooler and lubricating oil cooler.
For the cylinder and intercooler, one of the purposes of cooling is to reduce the exhaust temperature so that the exhaust temperature does not exceed the allowable range. It can be seen that after the water supply of the screw air compressor is cut off, the cylinder and intercooler cannot be cooled, and the exhaust temperature of the air compressor rises sharply. This will not only cause the lubricating oil in the cylinder to lose its lubricating properties, causing the moving parts to wear sharply, but also cause the lubricating oil to decompose, and the volatile components in the oil will mix with the air, causing combustion, explosion and other accidents.
For the air compressor lubricating oil cooler, if the air compressor is cut off from water, the lubricating oil will not be cooled well, and the temperature of the air compressor lubricating oil will increase. This will cause the viscosity of the lubricating oil to decrease, the lubrication performance to deteriorate, the wear of the moving parts to increase, the life of the machine to decrease and the power consumption to increase; in severe cases, the lubricating oil will decompose and the volatile components in the oil will mix into the air, causing a series of accidents.
