Screw air compressor installation and piping precautions

1. Installation conditions for screw air compressors
1) Screw compressor piping considerationsThe foundation should be built on a hard floor and the foundation plane should be leveled before installation to avoid vibration caused by the compressor.
2) The vibration generated by the screw air compressor is small, so there is no need to fix the foundation. However, the ground on which it is placed must be flat, and the underground must not be soft soil. It is best to lay 5-10 mm of soft cushion or shock-absorbing cushion on the bottom of the compressor to prevent vibration and noise.
3) If the screw air compressor is installed above the building, it must be done to prevent the vibration from being transmitted downstairs or to create a resonance, which poses a safety risk to the compressor and the building itself.
2、 Duct fittings for air ducts in air compressor systems
1) When the mains line is piped, the pipe shall have a slant of 1 ~ 2 degrees to facilitate the discharge of condensed water in the pipe. The pressure reduction of the distribution line must not exceed 5% of the set pressure of the compressor, so it is best to choose a larger pipe diameter when distribution.
2) The branch pipe must be connected from the top of the mains to avoid the condensation of water in the mains to the working machine, and the compressor air exit pipe should ideally have a one-way valve.
3) Ball valves should be fitted at the end of the supervisory road to facilitate condensation discharge.
4) The mains line should not be arbitrarily reduced, and if it must be reduced or amplified, a shrinking pipe must be used, otherwise there will be mixed flow at the joint, leading to a large loss of pressure and affecting the service life of the line.
5) If there are buffer purification facilities such as storage tanks and dryers after the compressor, the ideal piping arrangement should be compressor + air-water separator + storage tank + pre-filter + dryer + post-filter + fine filter. Such a storage tank can filter out some of the condensate water, and at the same time, the storage tank also has the function of reducing the temperature of compressed air. It can reduce the load on the dryer or filter.
6) If the amount of air used in the system is large and the time is short, and the instantaneous amount of gas is large, it is advisable to add a gas storage tank as a buffer (the capacity should be greater than or equal to 20% of the maximum instantaneous gas capacity). This can reduce the number of frequent load and unload of the compressor group, reduce the numberof control element actions, and have great benefits for maintaining the operational reliability of the compression. In general, gas storage tanks with a capacity of 20% of the exhaust capacity can be chosen.
7) When the system pressure is below 1.5MPa, the flow rate in the conveying pipe must be below 15m / sec to avoid excessive pressure drop.
